The Feast of St Benedict
The Feast of St Benedict is celebrated on 11th July.
As always, Sisters of the Good Samaritan and others will gather in small communities to mark the Feast of St Benedict, with the observance beginning with the vigil on the evening before.
2021 continues to present us with COVID-19 challenges. As many are in lockdown or have had their movements significantly restricted, we continue to explore alternate ways to celebrate significant days and times in our lives
For those who are unable to physically gather and pray in community with others, or who may be in lockdown at the time, a simple online gathering to mark the Feast of St Benedict will be held on Saturday 10th July (local times listed below).
If you would like to join this gathering, please RSVP below by Wednesday 7th July. The Zoom link and prayer booklet will then be emailed to you.
We continue to hold in prayer all those affected by the current COVID-19 outbreak, and offer this opportunity of sharing prayer on the Feast of St Benedict for those who are unable to gather in-person.
Saturday 10 July:
3:00pm – Philippines, WA
4:00pm – Japan
4:30pm – SA/NT
5:00pm – QLD, NSW, VIC
7:00pm – Kiribati
