Third Tuesday Conversations: Kiribati Connections

The Sisters of the Good Samaritan have had an active presence in the remote Pacific nation of Kiribati since 1991. In this Third Tuesday Conversation, Sr Taabeia Ibouri and Sr Katarina Kabiriera will share their experiences of life in Kiribati and the impact of climate change on the fragile island communities.

They will also talk about some the ministries the Sisters of the Good Samaritan are involved in such as visiting the mental health inpatient ward at the local hospital, looking after the elderly, establishing schools and a current project to refurbish an old convent to become a community centre for the local villagers. Morning tea will follow this informative session.
